If you just want to learn how to create a photo slide show and upload it to YouTube.com…than this post will help you with that…Too!
So…Why Do We Want To Create A Video Slide Show?
Well…as I mentioned in the last two lessons, we want to secure a spot in the top 10 search results in Google. We want people to find our business when they do a search for a photographer in our local area. One of the easiest ways to do this, is by using Videos. We know that Google loves YouTube videos (because they own them) and they are usually easier to rank for inside of Google.
Obviously, we need to make sure the video is uploaded properly and optimized with keywords in the title. Which, I showed you how to find inside the Google Keyword Tool in lesson 2. The video I created below, walks you through the entire process of how to actually create a video and what you should include.
What Software To Use For Slide Shows?
There’s many options out there and it can be a little confusing. But…usually your computer already has software installed that can work fine for this purpose. If you own a Mac…than you have iMovie or iPhoto already and can create slideshows very easily. If you own a PC (Windows) computer…you may have Powerpoint or Movie Maker. Now…I’m not a Windows guy (I love my Macs), but I’m sure there’s a basic software that comes with Windows.
There’s also some online options, like Animoto.com, where you can use their software without installing anything on your computer. This is actually what I am going to use and show you how to make a short 30 sec video to upload to Youtube.com. They offer a FREE account with some limitations…but you will see how to use the software and create your very first slide show.
All you will need is about 10 to 15 photos and you’ll be ready to get started. The steps are very simple and once you see how everything works…you can knock one out in minutes.
Here’s the link to the finished video for M.E Photography and the keyword “wedding photography west palm beach” or you can watch it below. You will see it’s short and simple. You can make them as long or short as you would like. I would recommend at least 30 secs and no more than 3 minutes.
So, that’s it for this lesson. If you have a questions or comments…leave them in the form below.
