How To Create And Customize Facebook Cover Timeline

You may or may not have heard of this thing called “Facebook” and how popular it is right now :-) Ok…that was a bad joke, but some of you are not taking Facebook seriously. I want to explain how Facebook can help your business and your brand grow by adding and customizing your “Timeline Cover Image”.

Your Second Website

I want you to think of Facebook as a second website for your business. You can customize your page as much as possible and now with the NEW Timeline cover image…it’s super easy.  We all know that your first impression is everything…Right? Well…now you can use this space to display your pictures to your visitors the minute they land on your page and they can get that polished first impression.

Here’s a couple of examples so you can see what I mean.

Now…if you don’t know how to customize your “Timeline Cover”…it’s OK. I created a template for our Digital Creation’s club and I’m going to give you a copy. This way you can customize your page too.

Before we move onto the cover image template, you need to know how to change your cover. If you don’t know how to change your cover image…follow these simple steps. If you do…just skip down to the template video below.

Step #1

Step #2

You will then just have to locate your image and click “Open” and it will be automatically added to your page. The template that I created is the exact dimensions and you won’t need to resize anything.

Customizing your Facebook Timeline Cover Image

Important Note: After I created this video, it was brought to my attention that you can not include your website address or contact info inside the graphic. So…only include your logo or business name.

So…there you have it.

Now you can customize your Facebook page and let your visitors see how professional you really are. Remember…you want to choose images that your clients will talk about and that grabs their attention. You want them to “Like” your page so you can communicate on a regular basis.

Bonus Tip: get in the habit of updating your Facebook Cover Image at least every couple of weeks. Your fans that subscribe to your page will automatically see your update in their news feed. This is a great way to get in front of them and have them possibly share your page.

FYI: If some of you wondering. The images used in the New FB Cover are from our Brand New Hi-Key Unique Prop Set V2. We just released this inside the Digital Creations club at a pre-release discount. This set should be available to everyone else…SOON!
