Great audio Scott. Thanks for that little push I need to get things rolling for 2011. I tend to be a bit of a procrastinator, and your audio has given me a new excitement for the upcoming year.
    Thanks for all you do.
    Judy

  2. Happy New Year and thank you for 2010!

  3. Nancy Marlow says:

Thanks, Scott for all the help you are giving us! I signed up for the EZ Flash Photography Course but we were out of town for a month so I only got to begin it this week! What a great course! Thanks for all you and Joe are doing to help us become successful. I’ve already started making goals for the New Year and will in touch more often. I love the digital backgrounds and have been using those.
Thanks again. May you and your family have a blessed New Year!

  4. Hey thanks Scott. You are the modern day Napolean Hill to a photographer who dreams of a better life using a camera.

  5. Thanks Scott for all the help. Happy New Year. I don’t even know where to start in goal setting. My business is not going anywhere
and have gotten discouraged and frustrated. No money to put into it so have to try and come up with ideas that won’t cost me money to begin to implement. One thing is trying to figure out the digital backgrounds I purchased. I already spent that money, and still have not figured out how to use them, so that can be one goal..to get that learned.

Hi Scott, thank you for your tips!! Have a very happy 2011! God bless!

  7. Bekkie says:

Scott, thank you so much for this. I loved the idea of taking one hour a day and focusing on what I NEED to do. I can get so caught up being on the web that time slips by very quickly.

Thanks also for a wonderful 2010 and I’m looking forward to 2011.

The EZ Flash Lighting course is awesome; I’m still working through some of that as I write this but wanted to take a minute to let Joe know how grateful I am for sharing his expertise. I’d recommend this course to anyone wanting to learn how to make light their friend.

    Happy New Year to All!

My tip about when and where to right down your tasks and goals for 2011. The best place to evaluate without being interruoted is….now don’t laugh…..the bathroom…when you are doing your deed you are all alone and will not be interrupted….so take along that notebook and get to writing.

Take a look at KelbyTraining.com for great photography and software training online at your on leisure. It is a great supplement to NPB trainings.

    Happy New Year to all.

Scott, I think this is the greatest advice you’ve given. Yea, your tutorials on photoshop are invaluable (and I love, love, love your digital props and backgrounds) but this bit on establishing a routine to spell out your goals is just fundamental to everything. Thanks for your persistent harping on goal setting and journal keeping / note taking. I am certain that I am the biggest procrastinator of the bunch. But I’m going to start articulating to myself, on paper, what I want to acheive and continually start breaking it down into small bits that I can accomplish in an hour or two every day.

Happy 2011 everyone. This is the year I spend at least 30 minutes a day writing down what I need to do “today” to make forward progress.

  13. Philip says:

Hi Scott, thanks for the advice, a simple thing that can help so much.

look forward to hearing from you in 2011.

    Phil.

Dear Scott: You Are correct. This last day of the year I finally
was able to replace my car after having been without
for over a year. GOD Does answer Prayer and Faith.
Just like YOU Sir, I have put my goals down on paper,
Get Car Operation and Road Ready. Begin to replace
my digital camera and lighting equipment using ebay
and craigslist best value to begin generating a decent
    cash flow.
Like You, Making sure I spend at least one hour
per day just focus on my current goals,
and situation and taking it one day and
    one step at a time.

BEST NEW YEAR TO YOU AND YOUR FAMILY.
    RICHARD.

  15. great tips! I have my notebook and am writing goals down, best one is to spend 1 hour per day on where I am. I had opened a studio last year, landlord sold the building and it is being torn down! so first big goal is to get set up in my basement!
Hope you have a terrific new year!

Scott, just listened to your blog and as always I feel inspired to take action! This is my first step towards doing just that. I am taking your advice about writing down my goals.I especially like what one of your blogers, John Brink, said about breaking it down into small bits that he can accomplish in an an hour or two every day.And spending at least 30 minutes a day writing down what he needs to do to make forward progress. This is very good advice and I have made it a part of my daily routine. Thanks and keep up the good work. Happy New Year!

  22. Thanks for all your Advice and Help!! I have growin to become a better Photographer and love my work this much more!! Happy 2011!!

  23. After hearing this the first time I took the day to revise my “goal” plan for 2011. Thanks for the suggestion of “little goals”. I am happy to say that I am keeping on track with my “goal” list hanging by my computer. I created a “monthly” goal list as my “little” goals, instead of only listing one huge goal for the year.
Keep the great ideas coming. All the best to you and your family in 2011
